Scaffold work in Alberta Canada
By early February, 2010, 200 or more scaffold builders will be needed in Alberta, Canada. In order to be considered for this work, members must meet strict requirements and attend a "scaffolding Assessment" at the Carpenters International Training Center in Las Vegas, NV.
The class (assessment) is mostly hands-on and will focus on using aluminum Tube & Wedge Clamp scaffolding and All-Around Ring System Scaffolding. There is a skill assessment on the last day of the class that must be passed in order to be placed on the list for work in Alberta.
The class is for Journeymen with EXTENSIVE experience, who are willing to work in Alberta. Besides completing the Industrial Scaffold Qualification Class, members must also:
- Have a valid Passport
- Have a notarized FBI background check (cannot have criminal record including DUI or outstanding child support payments)
